Lucy was my mom.  She was a very happy, beautiful, non-judgemental, giving, loving, special woman with a generous heart.  She was adored by all who met her.  She gave never expecting something in return.  During most of my teens, she was a single mom who worked hard in a factory to raise 4 children.  We lost her in 1995 to cancer.  Lucy apparently left this world with NO enemies. 

This award (mostly funded by royalties from my book) is named in Lucy's honor & loving memory.  It consists of a musical instrument & certificate presented to a special person or organization with high regard for music sharing the gift of music with the world. 

In the truest Lucy tradition, these awards are NOT to be reciprocated to me, but, rather, to be paid forward - thereby spreading Lucy's generosity & values to others.
